CURRENT OFFERING: |
The goal of PACE is to equip every willing believer to become a committed disciple of Jesus Christ. There are four sub goals which guide how the classes are designed. 100 level classes are purposed to help you "get to know Jesus as my personal Savior and Lord"; 200 level classes are designed to "equip you to become a disciple of Jesus Christ"; 300 level classes are designed to help you "become a living witness of Jesus Christ"; and 400 level classes are designed to prepare you to "become a teacher of the Word."
Come, let us PACE together to become mature, reproducing disciples of Jesus Christ |
Serving God: Servant Leadership (Room D102)
Led by: Pastor Frank Liu & Others Do you want to lead? A common misconception among those who want to exercise a leadership role over others is that it comes with glory, power, and positions of honor. Jesus, however, modeled for us the true servant style of leadership. In this class, we will learn about the principles of Christian leadership, which is about serving others. If we understand the focal point of servant leadership within the church is “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up” (Ephesians 4:12), then a servant leader is one who seeks to invest himself or herself in the lives of his or her people so that, as a whole, the church community is challenged to grow to be more like Christ. Come and allow God to use you as a servant in the ministry of His people |
Wanted: Fishers of Men (Room D105)
Led by: Tina Leung, Yolanda Cuesta & Wes Wong The Bible calls Christians to be the aroma of Christ, the salt of the earth and the light of the world, but the most familiar imagery is probably for us to be fishers of men. Whether we have been a Christian for one year or 30, Jesus has charged us with this unchanging mission: make disciples of all nations. But is fishing (evangelism and witnessing) the sole responsibility of pastors and missionaries? How are we to be a living witness for God? How do we share the Gospel with both words and actions? Join us as we delve into these questions, uncover practical lessons and develop accountability to each other as we aim to become the kind of fishermen that pleases our Father in heaven. |
